Tourist activities of our club are developing very actively. During the existence of the club we have made more than 20 trips, which generally involved nearly 300 people. In this case, we rely on the tour, organized and conducted ourselves, independent of any travel agency. There were excursions in Soest and Bad Sassendorf, Aachen / terms, Cologne, Hattingen, Düsseldorf, Münster, Bochum and Duisburg.

We tried to keep the memory of our excursions and produce for this purpose a special wall newspaper, which can be found in the room of Stadtteilbüro Bergmannsfeld. We have already made 6 such wall newspapers. Paradoxically, but it is the fact that many of the club members have lived in Germany for ten years or more, but never went out of Essen. On the other hand, this is understandable, because nobody wonted to optimize the specific "geographical education" of Russian pensioners! Of course, we promptly corrected this unfortunate mistake and made several trips to different parts of our native city of Essen. After our tours the members of our club become new information about Germany and about Essen, which has been named European Capital of Culture 2010. Besides independent excursions, which are carried out mainly by rail, we made bus tours with professional travel agents as well. For example, members of our club have a fascinating bus tour in Antwerp (Belgium), Osnabrück, Worms / Speyer, Cologne, visited the royal flower park in the Netherlands.
